The Sky-Watcher Dobsonian SynScan range is a precisely engineered telescope series designed to help you effortlessly locate and enjoy celestial wonders such as planets, nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and more. The stylish truss tube structure has been carefully developed to provide convenience, excellent portability, and consistent performance in a cost-effective design. Unlike most truss tube systems, the Sky-Watcher Collapsible Dobsonian does not require full disassembly between sessions. It can be transported in two compact sections, ready for setup in mere seconds. Once collimated, the system holds its alignment through the night. A patented Tension Control Handle enables users to fine-tune friction levels by adjusting resistance between the optical tube and side panels.

The SynScan AZ hand controller allows you to select and slew directly to celestial objects or even enjoy a guided tour of the night sky with a single button press. Its intuitive menu provides automatic slewing to over 42,900 objects. Even beginners can quickly learn its features after just a few observing sessions. The patented Freedom Find (dual-encoder) system allows manual adjustments at any time without disrupting alignment.

Freedom Find™ - tracking made easy!

Thanks to the Freedom Find dual-encoder system, you can move the telescope manually or electronically along either axis without losing positional accuracy. Once a new target is centered, the system immediately resumes accurate tracking without requiring re-alignment. This ensures smooth, uninterrupted observing throughout your session.
