Celestron NexStar Evolution 9.25 Telescope
“This robotic WiFi telescope is the coolest app-cessory in the galaxy.”
– Wired.com
“5-star overall rating.”
– BBC Sky at Night Magazine
The NexStar Evolution is the world’s first Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with built-in WiFi, redefining how observers explore the night sky. Forget traditional hand controls–simply use your smartphone or tablet to navigate effortlessly to thousands of celestial objects. By connecting to the telescope’s integrated wireless network, you can control everything through the SkyPortal Powered by SkySafari™ app, available for both iOS and Android devices.
The intuitive planetarium interface displays the night sky in real time and generates a list of visible objects based on your exact location and observing time. Celestron’s proprietary SkyAlign alignment system is built directly into the app, allowing you to complete setup and begin observing within minutes.
Designed for Ultimate Ease of Use
Developed using years of real-world customer feedback, the NexStar Evolution incorporates thoughtful engineering that makes it one of the most user-friendly telescopes ever created.
For the first time in a consumer telescope, NexStar Evolution features a built-in lithium-iron phosphate battery, eliminating the need for disposable batteries or external power sources. Enjoy up to 10 hours of continuous observing on a single charge. A convenient USB charging port lets you power other devices during your session, while intelligent power management automatically shifts to energy-saving mode when battery levels run low.
Setup is quick and effortless thanks to large, ergonomic carrying handles. The heavy-duty stainless steel tripod, shared with Celestron’s CPC series, provides outstanding stability for the 9.25" optical tube. Manual clutches in both altitude and azimuth allow smooth manual positioning even when the telescope is powered off. Two accessory trays store up to seven eyepieces, with one tray featuring an adjustable red LED illuminator for nighttime visibility.
Precision Tracking for Astrophotography
For those interested in astrophotography, the 9.25" NexStar Evolution offers an excellent and affordable entry point. It is the only fork-mounted telescope in its class to feature brass worm gears and upgraded motors, delivering remarkably accurate tracking performance. You can capture impressive deep-sky images–such as the Orion Nebula–by simply attaching a DSLR camera. As your skills advance, adding the optional Pro HD Wedge enables longer exposures for even more detailed astrophotography.
The proven Schmidt-Cassegrain optical design, enhanced with StarBright XLT coatings, delivers bright, high-contrast views, making NexStar Evolution equally appealing for visual observers and aspiring imagers.
Included Accessories & Connectivity
NexStar Evolution is equipped with 4 auxiliary ports-2 on top of the fork and 2 on the bottom. A classic NexStar+ hand control is included, but is not necessary when using NexStar Evolution with the mobile app. The telescope also includes a StarPointer finderscope, two 1.25” Plossl eyepieces, a 1.25” star diagonal, and an AC adapter.

☀️ Solar Warning:
➠ Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result..
➠ Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
➠ Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
