Sky-Watcher DOB 10" SynScan
Product Features
The Sky-Watcher Dobsonian SynScan range is a finely crafted instrument designed to make discovering the wonders of the night sky effortless. From planets and nebulae to star clusters and galaxies, it brings celestial objects into view with clarity and ease. Featuring Sky-Watcher’s patented collapsible tube design, this series is the perfect blend of portability and performance. The Dob SynScan successfully merges the affordability and simplicity of a classic Dobsonian with the advanced functionality of a computerized Go-To system.
The sleek truss tube structure has been purposefully designed to maximize convenience, portability, and reliability while remaining budget-friendly. Unlike many other truss tube models, the Sky-Watcher Collapsible Dobsonian doesn’t require disassembly between observing sessions. It separates into just two compact parts that can be reassembled in seconds. Once collimated, it holds alignment throughout the night, making setup hassle-free. Its unique Tension Control Handle lets observers adjust resistance by adding or reducing friction between the tube and the mount sideboards.
The SynScan AZ hand controller allows users to target specific objects or even enjoy a guided tour of the sky at the push of a button. Its intuitive menu offers automatic slewing to more than 42,900 celestial objects. Even beginners can quickly get comfortable with its wide range of features after only a few sessions. Adding to the convenience, Sky-Watcher’s patented Freedom Find (dual-encoder) technology enables manual movement at any time-without losing alignment.
Freedom Find™ - tracking made easy!
With Freedom Find dual-encoder technology, the telescope can be repositioned manually or electronically on either axis while maintaining its precise alignment. Once aimed at a new target, the system instantly begins accurate tracking with no need to reset or recalibrate. This makes continuous, uninterrupted observing simple and efficient throughout the night.
