The Lunt LS50THa is a 50 mm unobstructed, pressure-tuned hydrogen-alpha solar telescope designed for safe and detailed solar observation. With a narrow bandpass of <0.75 Angstrom, it offers stunning views of the Sun, including prominences, filaments, and surface activity.

Equipped with Lunt’s innovative Pressure Tuning (Doppler True Tuning) system, the LS50THa enables precise adjustment of the Etalon. This tuning adds a 3D-like depth to the observation experience. While prominences (at the solar limb) remain largely unaffected, this tuning has a dramatic effect on filaments and active regions across the solar surface. By shifting through different Doppler positions, observers can trace filaments from their base to their tip, providing enhanced imaging and research opportunities.
