At Vorion Scientific Private Limited, we deal in precision-grade astronomical and scientific instruments that require careful handling, proper selection, and technical understanding. This policy explains how returns, refunds, exchanges, and RMA requests are handled in a transparent and structured manner.

Please do not ship products back without approval. Unauthorized returns may be rejected.

FAQs

Vorion Scientific does not accept returns based on change of mind. Returns are considered only for verified transit damage, dead-on-arrival (DOA), or manufacturing defects that are reported within 7 days from delivery.

Contact support with your order number, product details, and a clear description of the issue. For damage or defect claims, you must share clear photos and an uncut, full unboxing video showing the box being opened from start to finish.

No. Due to the high value and sensitive nature of astronomical equipment, we do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect selection, or personal preference.

Exception - Size-related issues:
We may assist only in cases of size mismatch, provided the product is returned in a sealed, unopened, and unused condition with original packaging intact.

Approved returns may include restocking charges based on condition:
  • Sealed / unopened: 3%
  • Opened but unused: 8%-12% (depending on category)

If a return is approved, restocking or inspection charges may apply if the item is opened, used, or returned with missing components. This includes dust, fingerprints, blemishes, or missing factory packaging such as bags, bubble wrap, manuals, or protective materials. Items showing heavy use or damage may attract higher charges or may be refused entirely.

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with an uncut unboxing video and clear photos of the outer carton, product, and shipping labels. Do not discard any packaging until the claim is resolved. Please also review our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

If a product fails during first use under normal conditions, report within 7 days with video proof. Our team may request basic troubleshooting steps before confirming DOA.

Resolution depends on category, availability, and manufacturer policy. Options may include replacement, repair, or (in exceptional cases) refund.

Non-returnable items may include (but are not limited to) opened consumables/filters, software/licenses/digital goods, custom/special-order items, and products showing signs of use, damage, or modification.

After the return is received, inspection is typically completed within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days (bank/gateway timelines may vary).
