Celestron PowerSeeker 114EQ Telescope with Motor Drive and Phone Adapter
Discover our Solar System with the Celestron PowerSeeker 114EQ. Thanks to its quick and easy no-tool setup, you’ll be ready to start observing in just minutes. The 114EQ delivers bright, clear views of the Moon, planets, star clusters, and more, making it ideal for exciting nighttime astronomy.
Manual German Equatorial Telescope
The PowerSeeker mount features two slow-motion control knobs that allow precise pointing adjustments along both the Right Ascension (RA) and Declination (DEC) axes, helping you accurately track celestial objects as they move across the sky.
Accessories Included
Included accessories are a 20mm and 4mm eyepiece, finderscope, smartphone adapter, moon filter, and a motor drive. The two eyepieces provide both low- and high-power viewing options. The 3x Barlow lens triples the magnifying power of each eyepiece for even greater detail.
Motor Drive
Turn your manual German equatorial mount into a tracking mount using the included RA motor drive. This easy-to-install motor compensates for the Earth’s rotation, allowing the telescope to track stars as they move from east to west across the night sky. When the mount is properly polar aligned and the motor drive is running, only occasional declination adjustments are needed to keep an object centered for long periods.
The Celestron single-axis motor drive operates on a 9V battery, eliminating the need for power cords. It can be used in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres by simply flipping the N/S switch to reverse the motor’s direction. The motor speed can be adjusted using the Speed Rate Regulator knob, allowing you to match tracking speed for different types of objects, such as the Moon, planets, or deep-sky targets.
Smartphone Adapter
Capture images of celestial or terrestrial objects using the included smartphone adapter. Its lightweight yet rigid frame allows most smartphones to connect to any telescope eyepiece with an outside diameter of 34mm. The added magnification from the eyepiece helps your phone capture impressive images of the Moon and planets. Installation is quick–place your phone over the eyepiece and tighten the knobs to secure it. Most phones fit with their case on, though very large or bulky cases may need to be removed.

☀️ Solar Warning:
➠ Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result..
➠ Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
➠ Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
