Celestron C5 Spotting Scope
The Celestron C5 Spotting Scope offers the ideal combination of high performance and easy portability. Whether you’re birdwatching, observing wildlife, or enjoying casual views of the night sky, this versatile instrument provides sharp, crystal-clear images wherever your journey takes you.
Exceptional Optics and Performance
Built with a 5" (127 mm) aperture and a 1250 mm f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain optical design, the C5 delivers outstanding light collection for bright, detailed images, even in dim lighting conditions. With Celestron’s patented StarBright XLT coatings, you’ll enjoy vivid, high-contrast visuals with excellent color fidelity–perfect for examining distant animals, lunar landscapes, and planetary features. Its proven performance even earned it a place aboard a NASA space shuttle mission.
Compared to smaller scopes, the C5 stands out: it gathers 4.5 times more light than a 60 mm and 2.5 times more than an 80 mm. With a close focus distance of just 20 feet, you can study nearby plants, insects, and wildlife in fine detail. The built-in ¼”-20 threaded mounting base allows you to attach the C5 securely to a tripod for steady, extended viewing sessions.
Effortless Photography
Transform your spotting scope into a powerful camera lens. The C5 is camera adaptable, ready to work with smartphone adapters, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras using T-adapters and T-rings. Attach your camera directly to the rear cell and capture stunning, professional-level photographs with ease.
Versatile Accessories
The C5 is equipped with essential accessories to maximize your observing experience. A 25mm Plössl eyepiece delivers 50x magnification, while the 1.25-inch eyepiece holder gives you the freedom to use additional eyepieces (sold separately). Locating objects is simple with the 6x30 optical finderscope, and for terrestrial use, the erect image diagonal ensures right-side-up, correctly oriented views.
Portable and Convenient
Weighing only six pounds and measuring 11 inches in length, the C5 is exceptionally lightweight and compact. It fits easily into its included carrying case or even a backpack, making it the perfect travel companion for fieldwork, nature trips, or stargazing adventures.
