Askar 60F Flat-Field Quadruplet Astrograph Telescope

The Askar 60F is an optical tube assembly with a 60 mm aperture, a 408 mm focal length, and a native focal ratio of f/6.8, created for astronomy users who value portability along with excellent image quality.

This telescope uses a quadruplet lens structure – three elements in the front group and one in the rear – including one ED glass element to effectively minimize chromatic aberration. The Askar 60F also supports 44 mm full-frame sensors, delivering strong edge performance and well-controlled star shapes.

Thanks to its integrated field flattener, there’s no need for an external flattener or complicated back-focus adjustments. Just attach a camera, bring the image into focus, and begin capturing, making the astrophotography process smoother and more user-friendly.

The OTA alone weighs 2.5 kg, with a total package weight of 3 kg when including the tube rings and dovetail plate. Its compact, lightweight build makes it ideal for travel, allowing observers and imagers to take it virtually anywhere.

Designed for both visual viewing and imaging, the Askar 60F includes a dedicated photographic extension tube with a 2" internal filter thread, and it comes equipped with M48×0.75 and M54×0.75 adapters. This ensures quick, direct compatibility with DSLRs and astronomy cameras, enabling fast setup and immediate shooting.

The Askar 60F is engineered with a mechanical structure that keeps hidden usage expenses to a minimum while ensuring a seamless and reliable experience.

The telescope includes a retractable dew shield that shortens the overall length and boosts portability. Inside the optical tube, matte felt lining helps suppress stray light, and the outer body features a stylish blue-and-white finish enhanced by precise CNC machining and high-quality paintwork.

Mounted on the handle bar of the Askar 60F is a built-in finder base slot. Additionally, both sides of the focuser are equipped with finder bases, eliminating the need to remove hardware when repositioning a finder scope and providing extra spots for mounting other astronomy accessories.

For focusing performance, the Askar 60F uses a robust 2.4-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser with 1:10 micro-adjustment. The fine-focus knob includes an anti-slip grip, and the rear section incorporates a 360° rotator with scale markings to achieve precise orientation.

The included dovetail plate is a 230mm Vixen-standard design with both 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes, allowing it to attach directly to a tripod.
