The ZWO 2" UV/IR-Cut Filter is an essential addition to any astrophotography toolkit, especially for users of color CMOS and CCD cameras with AR-coated windows. This filter effectively blocks both ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light, preventing image degradation and protecting sensitive components like your H-alpha solar filters.

Most telescope optics are optimized for visible light, and infrared light—although invisible—can pass through and blur your astrophotography images. Additionally, IR and UV radiation can cause thermal damage to expensive solar filters. This is where the ZWO UV/IR filter proves its value.

Made from high-quality optical glass, this filter is mounted in a durable 2" metal cell. It provides excellent transmission in the visible spectrum while cutting off IR and UV beyond the useful imaging range.
