The ZWO Filter Drawer for Nikon lenses enables users to connect any ZWO cooled Pro camera to a Nikon F-mount lens, while also supporting the use of 2" filters. This accessory is particularly suitable for astrophotographers using cooled color ZWO cameras paired with Nikon F-mount lenses. Four Types of Nikon Lens to ZWO Camera Adapters:
ZWO Filter Drawer for Nikon Lens (#FD-Nikon): Ideal for color cameras utilizing 2" filters (this product).
ZWO Nikon Lens Adapter for ZWO 2" Electronic Filter Wheel (#EFW2-Nikon): Best suited for large format mono cameras with 2" filter wheels.
ZWO Nikon Lens Short Adapter for ZWO 1.25”/31mm/36mm Electronic Filter Wheel (#EFW-NIKON-II): Recommended for small format mono cameras using smaller filter wheels.
ZWO T2 Thread to Nikon Lens Adapter (#NIKON-T2-II): Designed for connecting most ZWO cameras when filter swapping isn’t required.
This adapter is specifically made for Nikon F-mount DSLR lenses. It does not work with Nikon’s mirrorless lens systems.
This adapter allows Nikon F-mount lenses to be attached to nearly all ZWO cooled cameras, with the exception of the ASI GT series. Designed for a 17.5mm back focus distance, users of compact ZWO models like the ASI533MC Pro or ASI294MC Pro must attach the included 11mm extension ring.
The adapter features a female EOS bayonet on the lens side and a male T/T2 (M42x0.75) thread on the camera side, making it suitable for ZWO cooled cameras with APS-C or smaller sensors. It also comes with an M54M to M42F adapter, enabling compatibility with full-frame cameras like the ASI6200MC Pro.
Refer to the diagram below for filter cell dimensions. This drawer accommodates most 2" filters with filter cells (excluding threads) that are 7.5mm or thinner.
How to Connect the ZWO Filter Drawer for Nikon Lenses
When using full-frame models like the ASI6200 or ASI2400, the provided M54M-M42F adapter must be attached for proper fitment.
