ZWO ASI6200MM-P25 Camera

ASI6200MM/MC Pro – High-Performance Full Frame Camera
The ASI6200MM/MC Pro features Sony’s advanced IMX455 full-frame, back-illuminated sensor with a native 16-bit ADC. Its 3.76µm pixel size, combined with an ultra-low 0.86e read noise, delivers outstanding image quality with exceptional dynamic range. The camera’s design also introduces a major innovation – zero amp-glow, ensuring clean and consistent imaging performance even during long exposures.
Note:
All ASI-cooled cameras require an external power source. It is strongly recommended to use a 12V DC adapter rated between 3A–5A (D5.5×2.1mm, center positive) or a lithium battery with an 11–14V output. Using a power supply outside this voltage range may result in irreversible damage to the camera.

Six Unmissable Advantages

Appreciation Work

Exquisite Craftsmanship for a Premium Imaging Experience
Meticulous Design, Uncompromising Quality
The ASI6200MM/MC Pro is engineered with precision and care. Despite its lightweight body of only 0.7 kg (1.54 lbs), it delivers outstanding imaging performance, making it both powerful and portable for serious astrophotographers.

Zero Amp Glow – Worry-Free Long Exposures
Equipped with a true zero amp-glow sensor, the ASI6200MM/MC Pro ensures exceptionally clean dark frames. Even under long exposures or high gain settings, it maintains flawless image quality–perfect for deep-sky imaging.

Anti-Dew System
The ASI6200MC Pro includes a built-in polyimide anti-dew heater that fits perfectly around the protective window. This heater prevents dew formation, ensuring uninterrupted and clear imaging sessions in all conditions.

Extraordinary performance captures the beauty of the universe
1. Full Frame Format
The ASI6200 Pro is a true full-frame camera equipped with the advanced Sony IMX455 sensor, offering an impressive 9576×6388 resolution for a total of 61.2 megapixels. The sensor measures 36mm x 24mm with a 43.3mm diagonal, delivering a wide field of view and remarkable detail. Despite its small 3.76µm pixels, it achieves an exceptional well depth of 51.4ke, ensuring both fine resolution and excellent dynamic range.

2. Native 16-bit ADC
This is ZWO’s first-generation CMOS astronomy camera to feature a true native 16-bit ADC (not CCD-style). It achieves a dynamic range of 14 stops, resulting in significantly enhanced image sharpness, contrast, and smoother tonal transitions for more natural-looking astrophotography results.

3. Two-Stage TEC Cooling – Ultra-Low Dark Current
The dual-stage TEC cooling system enables the ASI6200 Pro to reduce the sensor temperature by more than 35°C below ambient, effectively minimizing dark current and sensor noise during long exposures. (ΔT = 35°C tested at 30°C ambient temperature; actual ΔT may vary with extended use or lower ambient conditions.)

Practical features for effortless astrophotography
1. USB 3.0 & 512MB DDR3 Memory
The ASI6200 Pro features a high-speed USB 3.0 interface paired with a built-in 512MB DDR3 buffer, ensuring smooth, stable, and reliable data transfer even during long imaging sessions.

Note: ASI cooled cameras manufactured after August 2023 include an upgraded 512MB DDR3 memory buffer (previously 256MB).
2. Precision Sensor Alignment – Three Sets of Screws
The camera’s sensor is finely calibrated using three sets of push-pull screw pairs, allowing precise mechanical adjustment for optimal sensor alignment and image performance.

Camera Performance – Low Read Noise, High Dynamic Range
The ASI6200MM/MC Pro delivers exceptional imaging performance with a dynamic range of up to 14 stops, significantly minimizing overexposure and producing smoother, more natural color gradients.
It also incorporates High Conversion Gain (HCG) mode, which automatically activates at gain 100, effectively reducing read noise while maintaining full dynamic range for superior high-gain imaging results.

QE value
The QE peak value of the ASI6200MM Pro camera is 91%.
Quantum Efficiency(ASI6200MM Pro)
ultra-low dark current
The unique dark current suppression technology can further reduce dark current noise. At a cooling temperature of 0°C, the dark current noise is only 0.0017e/s/pix. This means a 300s exposure will only cause a dark current noise of 0.51 e/pix, which is completely negligible!
