The Vorion Scientific Side-by-Side Losmandy Saddle – 60 mm provides a practical and compact mounting platform for astronomers seeking to operate two optical instruments on a single telescope mount.
Whether pairing a primary imaging telescope with a separate guide telescope or building a dual-refractor imaging system, the side-by-side arrangement offers flexibility in configuring multi-instrument astronomical setups.
The assembly incorporates two 60 mm Losmandy-style saddles positioned at opposite ends of a 356 mm connecting plate. Its machined mounting surface features a multi-hole and slotted pattern for mounting flexibility, while individual saddle clamping knobs allow the optical instruments to be secured independently.
The compact saddle configuration makes this variant suitable for applications where a shorter saddle contact length is appropriate for the selected optical instruments and dovetail plates.
Dual Optical Instrument Mounting: Accommodates two compatible telescope assemblies in a side-by-side arrangement.
Twin 60 mm Losmandy Saddles: Compact mounting configuration for compatible Losmandy-style dovetail plates.
Independent Saddle Clamping: Each saddle incorporates its own clamping mechanism.
Precision-Machined Construction: Designed for accurate component alignment and assembly.
Versatile Connecting Plate: Multiple mounting holes and slots offer installation flexibility.
Black Finish: A clean, professional appearance suited to astronomical instrumentation.
