Unlike traditional colored glass ERF filters that absorb light and can be subject to heat expansion, this filter reflects excess energy—offering an alternative to front-mounted filters and functioning similarly to a Herschel Wedge in terms of reducing heat and glare. It allows only the visible spectrum to pass through, preserving image sharpness and reducing chromatic distortion.
