The Askar 71F is an optical tube assembly featuring a 71mm aperture, a 490mm focal length, and a native focal ratio of F6.9.

The telescope uses a quadruplet air-spaced APO optical system that incorporates one ED glass element, effectively minimizing chromatic aberration. It supports 44mm full-frame imaging with excellent star quality across the entire field.

Designed with a built-in flattener, the Askar 71F eliminates the need for separate flatteners or back-focus calculations. Once imaging accessories are attached and focus is achieved, the OTA is ready for immediate use. This reduces overall cost and enhances the enjoyment of astrophotography.

With portability and flexibility as priorities, the Askar 71F maintains a compact form and controlled weight for convenient transport and operation. The OTA alone weighs 2.5kg, and the total weight – including tube rings and a dovetail plate – is 3kg.

The Askar 71F serves both visual observers and astrophotographers. To enhance user convenience, it comes standard with three observing accessories: an 8mm eyepiece, a 20mm eyepiece, and a 1.25-inch 45° erecting prism.

The 8mm eyepiece delivers 60x magnification, while the 20mm provides 25x. Depending on the viewing target, either eyepiece can be selected, and both are well-suited for observing birds and scenic landscapes.

Each eyepiece features a 1.25-inch barrel and a soft, rubber-coated top for comfortable use.

The included 1.25-inch 45° erecting prism presents a correctly oriented image – left-to-right and top-to-bottom – making viewing more intuitive and eliminating the confusion of reversed or flipped images.

The Askar 71F is also equipped with a standard photographic extension tube that includes M48×0.75 and M54×0.75 adapters, along with a built-in 2-inch filter thread for seamless imaging connections. Whether you're using a traditional DSLR or a dedicated astronomy camera, the setup process is extremely convenient. When heading outdoors, users can directly attach their imaging accessories and capture stunning scenes anytime.

The mechanical structure of the Askar 71F follows Askar’s long-standing design philosophy – focusing on user-friendly operation while reducing hidden or unexpected usage costs.

Its dew shield uses a retractable design, which helps shorten the telescope’s overall length and improve portability. The entire optical tube is constructed with precision CNC workmanship. The interior of the dew shield is coated with matte paint to effectively suppress stray reflections, while the telescope’s blue-and-white finish gives it a refined, elegant appearance.

The handle bar of the Askar 71F features an integrated finder base slot. Additionally, two more finder bases are placed on either side of the focuser. This setup allows users to change finder positions without disassembly and offers extra mounting points for other astronomy accessories.

For focusing, the Askar 71F includes a dual-speed 2.4-inch rack-and-pinion focuser that provides 1:10 fine adjustment. At the rear, a 360° graduated rotator allows for accurate framing and angle alignment.

The telescope is fitted with a 230mm Vixen-style dovetail plate, featuring both 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch screw holes for direct attachment to a tripod.
