The Vorion Scientific Side-by-Side Losmandy Saddle – 100 mm combines extended saddle engagement length with a versatile dual-instrument mounting arrangement, making it suitable for advanced astrophotography and observatory applications.
Its two 100 mm Losmandy-style saddles provide an extended contact interface for compatible dovetail plates. Each saddle incorporates two independently operated clamping knobs to secure the mounted optical instrument at two positions along the saddle.
The assembly features a 356 mm connecting plate with a multi-hole and slotted mounting pattern, supporting flexible installation within compatible astronomical systems.
The side-by-side arrangement enables astronomers and observatory operators to integrate two optical instruments into a common mounting configuration for imaging, guiding and scientific observation applications.
This variant is particularly relevant for configurations where longer dovetail plates and extended saddle engagement are preferred.
