We recently celebrated the successful opening of Vorion Scientific Observatory with a grand event. The inauguration was led by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. Nilesh Desai, Director of ISROβs Space Applications Center (SAC), who cut the ribbon to unveil this exciting cosmic hub. Bringing the Cosmos Closer β Vorion Scientific Observatory envisions a world where everyone, from curious kids to seasoned astronomers, can explore the wonders of the night sky.
Vorion Scientific Observatory is open to children and adults of all ages. Prior registration is required to ensure a smooth experience for all visitors.
To nurture future astronomers and cultivate curiosity, Vorion Scientific offers free, guided stargazing experiences to the public, especially students and young enthusiasts.
Area: 50 x 50 ft carpeted dome area
Staffed by trained astronomy experts and operators to assist visitors.
Our public stargazing sessions are held every Saturday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Bapunagar Observatory. Timings may vary slightly based on weather and astronomical events.

No, entry and participation in stargazing sessions are completely free of charge. But registration is mandatory.
At present, due to limited staff and resources, we are unable to accommodate full-scale school visits. However, we warmly welcome educational institutions to arrange customized astronomy sessions for a small group of students during our regular Saturday evening programs.
