Product Details

The GSO 1.25" 3x ED Barlow is an ideal tool when you need more magnification than standard 2x barlows can provide. It utilizes a fully multicoated, two-element lens system crafted from ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass, offering superb sharpness and color accuracy. With a clear aperture of 24mm, the lower part of the Barlow is also threaded to fit standard 1.25" filters. The body is CNC-machined from high-grade aluminum and features a high-quality finish, typically seen in more expensive equipment.

The Barlow lens cell can be unscrewed, allowing the upper section to function as a 1.25" extension tube with 79mm (3.11") of extension. However, unlike the GSO 1.25" 2x Barlow, the 3x model uses a non-standard thread at the connection point between the lens and tube, which means the Barlow element cannot be directly attached to other eyepieces.

It is important to note that adding optical accessories like Barlows or focal reducers alters the telescope’s focal point. This change may require extra in-focus or out-focus travel depending on your specific telescope setup, including the diagonal (if used), Barlow, and eyepiece. Therefore, not all combinations may reach focus with this Barlow lens.
